I've never seen an Ambassador. I'll bet someone will want it.
I had four of those GEs in white, yellow, tan, and avocado. I got rid of three of them when we moved and kept the nicest one, which happened to be the yellow one. I have the drink mixer attachment for it so I keep that one by the bar, but really I never use it for that purpose -- or any other for that matter. I have a '50s Dormeyer that I got as a gift in its original box. That one is a joy to use, and I keep it with my baking tools. A special favorite is my little Oster "knee action" mixer. It's kind of a weak 3-speed, but I love the look and the concept. Finally, I have Sears mixer from the '70s in a wall mount case with simulated wood grain door. That one is waiting to find a home, and I might try to talk my FWB into it, as I've been eyeing the perfect mounting spot for it at his place for quite some time.

I have two avocado Sunbeam 3 speeds, where you push in the front to eject the beaters. Very basic, but I really like the look of them. I like the styling of the GE hand mixers as well.

Oster Knee Action

I guess I never revisited the thread to advise that the Late Great Kelly/Mixfinder alerted me to an on-line listing for a well-used Oster that still had its beaters, and I nabbed it. I've used the Oster only a time or two since, and as stated above and also by Kelly in the linked thread, these really weren't meant for use with thicker batters. I'm not even sure it could whip cream, but I'm hanging onto it anyway. I don't think I've seen a smaller hand mixer than the Oster. Perfect size and shape for the tiny house homemaker.
Also, that Toastmaster was placed on the give-away table at the Long Beach wash-in of 2012, and a former AW member took it home with him.

I have the Kitchenaid hand blender that has a whisk attachment, it's great for egg whites but not so good for other tasks, as expected for a single whisk.
Tnen I bought a Kitchenaid hand mixer, TOL model... used it "half" time., literally... I started a cake and that thing is simply ridiculous, didn't mix anything, i gave up, used the KA stand mixer and returned the hand mixer the next morning.
At the same time I want to have a hand mixer, I'm afraid NONE of the modern ones are even "acceptable". So I'd go with a vintage one if someday I'm lucky to find one. Preferably GE because my husband loves that brand as he once worked at the GE group. (not related to appliances)

I have the swoopy, Thunderbird-looking GE mixer in turquoise with the plug-in knife sharpener. I found them in two different thrift stores in Sarasota decades ago.

I have 5 hand mixers, two vintage, a Sunbeam 5 speed from the early 90’s, an avocado GE 3 speed like photo #4 in the OP, one of the early Kitchen Aid 3 speeds from the mid 90’s, a Kitchen Aid 5 speed thats about 15 years old and an Osterette 1 speed from the early 50’s that I bought at a thrift store 48 years ago for $2.00. Its just like the ones my grandma and aunt had.
The 3 speed KA is my favorite and for about 18 months I used it for everything, cakes, mashed potatoes, cookies, you name it and it worked great. I just got tired of holding it while making cakes, so I switched back to my KA SS45 stand mixer for most mixing duties. But I still use the 3 speed KA for mashed potatoes, its so convenient. The Sunbeam 5 speed and the 3 speed GE don’t have very good speed control, the lowest speeds are too fast and they bog down with any heavy batter. Both the KA hand mixers have excellent speed control, the low is really slow and they both handle thick cookie doughs and don’t bog down, plus I like the beater design.
If I had to have only one hand mixer for everything it would be the 3 speed KA.

Was the brand name of appliances sold at Allied Stores (for example Jordan Marsh). We had an Ambassador washing machine (A Westinghouse top-loader).
That GE hand mixer must have been pretty popular. We had one in our family for about 40 years. One day the motor just stopped working and smelled burnt.

I've got a small collection of Sunbeam mixers from the '50s. White, Chrome, Copper and Aqua. Really in search for a yellow. Might pick up a pink but not my favorite.

An early 50's Hamilton Beach Mixette is the only hand mixer I have. It belonged to my mom. Later on, I bought her a new one for a gift, but it didn't compare to the old one. The 70's version was plastic, with a detachable cord that was always coming loose. I gave it to the church sale a few years ago.
