Happy 25th and many more, too. That's a beauty of a range. I notice that the left front element is the Speed Heat. I don't know if the control and/or element have ever been replaced, but the speed heat feature puts major stress on the switch and element by running 230 volts through the 115 volt element to get it red hot in a minute. The secret to saving the switch and element is to always start it at "WARM" and listen for the click when it goes back to 115 volts. Once it is on 115 volts, there is not problem with turning it to any higher heat. The switch holds at 230 for a variable length of time, depending on how high a heat setting is selected. By starting on WARM, the element and switch are only on 230 about 10 seconds. I don't use my 1961 Frigidaire range except when I am making candy or sometimes when baking. I do use the Speed Heat unit because it is at the front, but I always start it like I explained. So far, it is holding up, kinahora.
