Has Anyone Here Seen The New Maytag FL (MAH2400A)?

I was in Home Depot yesterday and saw this small little FL machine. At first I thought it was a Danby, but upon closer examination it had the Maytag nameplate on it!
It's quite a nice little machine, 24", appeared to be well made. The drum looked quite large even though the opening was quite small. In some ways it reminded me of the Speed Queen FL machines.
Has anyone here had any experience with one of these? Is it made by someone other than Maytag and simply rebadged?

Those compacts are made by Samsung for Maytag. I went to a service seminar on them last year.

Another thing I noticed...

was that it had a level drum, not tilted. The controls were easy to read, and at $649.00 it is certainly cheaper than most FL machines out there.

How do you think the reliability of these Samtag (or is it Maysung?) machines will do?

Well so far have not read anything bad about them. Could kick myself as a seller had several on eBay when units first came out for $400 or so and took I pass.

Samsung units similar to the Maytag have been on sale in the UK for awhile now and enjoy a decent reputation. Units we saw at Home Depot certianly looked well built and sturdy. Might just decide to get one as the capacity is pretty good and the size is just right.

If these machines are reliable, it'll help bring back Maytags name after the Neptune fiasco... And these units are even stackable!

Doesn't have an internal heater. Kills my interest in a brand new machine.
