Was wondering if anyone's used it & had luck with it? I haven't tried it, but I hear it's made to keep dark stuff from fading. How about residue? Sometimes I have a problem with dark clothing & white residue in an all dark load. It doesn't seem to be lint. I'm using a mid-80's Maytag top loader with the filter in the agitator.

Cheer Dark Detergent

I haven't yet seen the Cheer Dark detergent, but saw some "Suavitel" for dark colours at my supermarket. I've been tempted to try it, since we have lots of darks. I don't know if this is another gimmick or something that really works. It seems like someone else came out with a dark clothing detergent, Woolite perhaps, a couple of years ago.

I wash darks together in cold water and toss in a Shout Colour Catcher. It works for me.

Woolite for Darks

Jerry,Venus,

I use Woolite for darks and it seems to work well. I wash all my darks cloths and balck socks in it with cold water and they do retain their color for longer then using regular detergent. The chlorine they put in our water supply here is very high. You can smell it coming out of the tap. So for me at least it does seem to help. I am going to try the Cheer when my Woolite is gone. Hope this is helps.

I use it all the time for my dark stuff. Most of it is newer so I figured I'd start out with it, and so far, so good. Good to hear from Neptune that it's worked out well. I don't use cold, but I use warm without the ATC, which is cooler than warm with it.

Cheer Dark Colour Detergent

Couldn't resist. I bought some at the store yesterday. I'll give it a whirl and see what it does.
