Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I have seen this machine in sears. The baffles in the drum seem to have been redesigned also. This machine looks to be another winner for Sears.I am seriously thinking of getting a front loader in the near future. With more and more manufactures coming out with fl machines, the more i want to see one in action.
Until tl washers come out with a new design agitator(hopefully with the exception of Speed Queen)I don't even want to bother with them, all look alikes and BORING!!!!

Boring Top Loaders

You should watch the videos of Uni's GE Harmony Machine on the GE Harmony thread. It is an entertaining machine. IMHO

New HE4T 240V ?

Hello everyone,
Was crusing the Sears Web Page and saw that the new HE4T is a 240V machine? That is interesting.
Anyone else know anything else about it?

It does say 240/208 volt requirement! If this is not a mistake, I would be surprised if there isn't a conversion to 120 volt operation although it may not be listed on Sears' website. I think it's great if the 240v is correct, it would trim quite a bit of time from the cycle while still giving the warm to hot temp. cleaning cycles that work so well. Redesigning the baffles would probably account for .1 cu ft additional capacity, what does that add up to - a hankie or washcloth? I guess more is better in the numbers game!

Interesting Greg

I never thought about the baffles being smaller would account for the more space. They way they word it, is that they actually made the drum grew larger.
I really can't see any reason for the 240 volts. There is a test run that you can do with these washers. I did it on mine. It is a service test sequence that you do with the buttons, that turns it into a service mode. When you do this, it only puts in cold water. Then the tub only turns in one direction through the entire test with cold water in the tub. Then the heater kicks on, and heats to the sanitary temp. It took only about 12 minutes the two times I ran the test, for it to get to that temp. Then it drains, and goes directly into the high spin.

I noticed the 240 v. spec too on noe. It's probably a typo error. If it is a240 v, where's the dryer portion of the machine LOL. I wonder if the 240 v. would result in a different KWH/Yr. figure. All "t" models are rated a 278 kwh/yr. Not only did the baffles become smaller, I do believe the back of the drum was pushed back a bit more. The .1 cu. ft. increases the towel cpacity from 22 to 23 of the 48" x 24". And notice they don't have the proper color options matched with the description, they are all the white-on-white photo. Also, NO PDF VERSION OF THE OWNERS MANUAL yet. I wana owners manual online!!!!!!

240v Mistake

I checked the HE4t at the store and it is 120 not 240. I heard about an HE5t already, anyone have any info on this?

Graphite HE4T has the smoked window

The white version has the nearly black lens but the graphite version still has the smoked, somewhat transparent lens.

Black or Smoke colored HE4t windows... can order Clear see-t

I've read a few notes here regarding the non-see-thru-windows on the HE4t front loader washers... Just bought one, so have up to date info... The white-on-white comes ONLY with the smoked color windows, or 'black'--no choice (at least not yet!). However, the others (i.e., the white one [has gray trim around the doors]) can be ordered with CLEAR windows [like the Duet] OR smoke colored (black) whichever you prefer, so you CAN see what's going on inside *smile*. I've just ordered it (with clear windows) and it's to be delivered tomorrow. I mainly came to this site to see if or what reviews on performance there might be for the HE4t machine, so far haven't found any.
