damn it in the future when i have my own place are these still gonna be around? (not that they would go anywhere) Its my only "collectors washer" i want LOL! and proboably when i get one i'll be over it after one lint free load and then ima happy camper.

Marching through time

I think they'll still be around, but as things get rarer and we move forward through time, the getting gets difficult. After all, there is no replenishment of these items, and there is a constant flow of them to the krusher.

And yes, it's always interesting to see whether a machine is a keeper or whether it's a flash in the pan. We've had quite a few machines that were fun for a while, but lost their novelty. And then, sometimes you'll find some that hold your attention forever (like Frigidaires do for me).

Sometimes the circumstances make the difference--if it's your first one, it may be special to you. I still have my first machine--my Frigidaire 1-18 model WC. It's not an unusual machine, but it was my first (Kind of like how your first car could be a total piece, but you still have an affection for it, because it's your first car, and you'll compare all the subsequent cars you ever own to it )
