I have this book and highly recommend it for not only the Whirlpool/Kenmore enthusiast but for anyone wanting a basic course in the fundamentals of automatic washing machines . It is well illustrated with many pictures and diagrams and very easy to understand - even the inner sanctum of the timer and water valve solenoids.

I took a few home study courses years ago when I worked at Sears years ago, I desperately wanted to work in the White Goods department but it wasn't meant to be - a commission sales area that had no openings for years! Anyway, the books for the washer and dryer courses were exactly like this but with Sears and Kenmore names on the cover. I didn't save the book but have since found another copy. I remember being enthralled with the detailed explanations and illustrations.
