Heads Up! Norge (by Fedders) Dryer

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That’s great! Here’s someone’s chance to own an early seventies positive airflow Norge dryer with up to 4 hours of timed dry. I really like these green colored drums and this one saw little use.

Guess is it probably does use 220 but it simply wired for 120volt at the moment.

Some manufacturers would label their dryers for that with the understanding it would take longer to dry.

Heads up! Norge (by Fedders) dryer

Just what I’m looking for … however if it’s only 110 volt it must be a gas dryer. I’m looking for electric 220 volt vintage Norge 1970s electric dryer. I got excited but let down. I know I will find one.

There is no earthly reason why a gas dryer would need four hour cycle times. So that's just right out.

Thus either thing is strictly 110v/115/120v or can be wired for pure 220v/230v/240v
or dual 110v/220 etc.. (yes one knows, but am going to sound "uneducated" this once).

Maytag and others sold large dryers at the time that were 120v/240v, but could also be wired for only 120v. Not every home had an electrical dryer connection, so not to lose sales..

My guess is as often case seller does not know what they've got. Anyone truly interested should shoot off a query via website above to seller before thing ends tomorrow. This or simply ring them up tomorrow morning...

Am also thinking reason why that dryer's drum looks so minty is thing wasn't powered by gas and was powered mostly on the low heat you'd get with 110v power.

I never saw a Norge drum that color, but I will say that is a pure real Norge dryer due to the shape of the drum and the back of the drum too.

Congrats

Throw a listing up on Uship..

https://www.uship.com

Personally when it comes to auctions one does a listing on Uship or otherwise starts sorting out shipping before final bids are in. These auction places often have strict terms of sale and usually don't like nor will hold onto things long after auction ends. Credit card on record is charged at once with pickup usually within a week.

You can try reaching out to members who live in area to see if someone is willing to collect and hold dryer until you can sort out shipping arrangements.

This particular auction comes with late fees if items are not collected by certain time. Those fees increase and keep racking up longer item remains uncollected.

I forgot to bid!

Hi Darren!

I saw your $5.00 bid and was going to bid… until I forgot! So congrats. I have a personal shipper that I have developed a great relationship with from UShip. I’ve had him deliver to me from two different states. He is very reasonable, professional, and does very thorough packing for shipment safety. Would you like his contact?

shipping

if I could get it to socal would help me out my husband and I have a home there and I can hold there till I can ship, can you hook me up with your shipper?
