Good Lord, that's our old stove.

And it was a good one. Don't know the year, but it was from the 1950's.

And the dryer is a beauty.

Somebody grab them.

Frigidaire Stove and Dryer

I just spoke to the guy and he wants $100 for the stove and $200 for the dryer. Some antique dealer told him the dryer was worth $2,000. The Dryer is a 1955 and the stove dates back to about 1948 - 1949 - My mother had this exact stove with the deep well - I still have the pot.

For a while, Frigidaire had neat switches on their Deep Well Thermizer units. The HIGH setting was limited in duration to the time on a spring-wound timer, with maybe a 10 or 15 minute maximum. Anyway, at the end of the time, the heat switched to Simmer. Jeff looked at one years ago and said that from the way some people abuse ranges and cookware, such switches should be mandatory on all elements.

Isn't That One of The Filtrator Dryers

Which ran on either 120v or 220v?

If so tempting, but not at $200 and even still have no room. I mean it would take up way more room than my vintage portable Whirlpool! *LOL*

My other concern is regardless of what most of these sellers state, unless maintained by someone who knows what they are doing, vintage/older appliances will almost always need something before being put into regular service.
