I joined to keep my "fleet" of direct drive Kenmore washers going, (wife's, daughter's, daughter-in-law's, niece's) Most of my issues have been the flex coupling motor/gearbox, kid's socks in the water pump, agitate dogs worn out, or bad timers. All 5 or 6 I have managed to keep washing have been identical in the parts I've replaced.
I am currently working on a Kenmore 110.26822690 I'm into the center post bearings and seals parts.
I've noticed when I post I get lots of views and zero replies, I'm not sure what I've done wrong but I'll keep trying. I see posts by very recently joined folks that get many replies. Somebody tell me who are the resident mechanical repair guys ok, thank you, Paul

Hey Paul, are you in the Tupelo area? I have a cousin that lives there. I have lots of relatives in MS, but most are in the southern part of the state. My mom was from the Hattiesburg area. Hope you find this group helpful.
I'm in Oxford, I run a machine shop for the acoustics research center. I am self taught but stubborn so i'm learning a lot but slow. Thank you
PS: I have just started seeing/hearing discussion on "neutral drain spin" issues, that's a whole other thing I know nothing about, thank you, Paul

My cousin Lisha went to med school at Ole Miss back in the late 80s. She now practices in Birmingham.

Oxford is the home to one of my favorite restaurants - McAllister's Deli. We've had them here in Ohio for several years, and I go a couple times a week.

There's several people on here that have lots of knowledge about Whirlpool/Kenmore machines.
