The owner of the yellow range is sure that he has a treasure, if only a one oven treasure, and pricing reality be damned. The 1960 turquoise range is almost the apotheosis of range design. I wish it were closer and/or fuel less expensive. I hope that it is rescued. The late 50s and early 60s were such a grand time for appliance styling and features. Lines were squared and dignity replaced most of the Gee Wiz of earlier control panels and the control panels were vertical. These keyboard controls still had the Tel-a-Cook lights, but the lighted colors were a smaller part of the buttons.

You'd think that the guy who is auctioning the Yellow one would at least clean all the grease and grime off of it before asking for that outrageous opening bid. Notice, no takers......
