Here this commercial hasn't been understood so much
Can someone explain it to me ?

My clue is : maybe "frigidaire" is/was used as meaning fridge, just as "hoover" is used meaning vacuum cleaner.
So they are kidding, keeping the beer ice-chilled in the Frigidaire.
Could be like that or am i missing anything ?

Thanx
Carlo

This video was specially made for "Caipirinha" lovers.

As most of you know, the Caipirinha is the most famous brazilian drink.

1 dose of vodka
1 whole lime (some people use strwaberries), cut it in cubes.
3 spoons of fine sugar
ice... lots of ice
a short glass

You're with your friends having a barbecue or a pool party and you want to try something delicious, but drinking with responsibility specially because it's a drink that "tastes sweet" but can let you VEEEEEEEEEEERY drunk, just put the lime and the sugar in a glass, squeeze it with the handle of a beef hammer pour the vodka and complete with crushed ice.

or....

20 bottles of vodka (or lighter fluid because you're so drunk that you won't note the difference)
a huge pack of sugar
tons of limes
a bag of ice
a Mueller semi-automatic washing machine

After you and your friends are very drunk, hearing a ridiculous brazilian song and almost starting a competition to see who has the biggest belly or the smallest brain (I was going to mention other body part, but there are children reading this) just throw everything in the washing machine (expect the bottles, if you can remember you're going to drink the vodka, not eat the bottles). Turn on the machine on heavy cycle (15 minutes agitation)

there's a variation using a concrete mixer.

I don't think that the "Frigidaire" name has any relevance in this commercial. Those men are just very creative as they have no idea what a washing machine is really for, but they can still put it to good use :)

BTW
Before I came to know this forum, I associated the name "Frigidaire" with refrigerators only. Never knew that they made anything else. I also thought at the time that it was French as it was pronounced by many people with a French accent. My aunt had a Frigidaire in the early sixties at a time when domestic refrigerators were still uncommon. The door was white and yellow. A very unusual design in my eyes. Never saw something similar. The yellow part of the door had also some embossed stripe pattern.

Several Heineken commercials focus on refrigerators filled with beer. The house in this commercial apparently lacks such an essential feature...

"Never mix alcohol with sugar, unless you love really, really bad hangovers."

Sometimes it's worth it . . . here's a link to my favorite bar in the whole world, Tiki-Ti on Sunset Blvd. They've been serving the best in Polynesian cocktails since 1961 under the same ownership and in the same tiny building. The drinks aren't cheap, and they don't do credit cards, but sometimes you do get what you paid for.

what the hell ever happened to Moosehead beer? I like Heinekin but Moosehead was the Canadian bombadier. a lil expensive but worth the price.
