Greetings from Northwest Indiana. I think I've lurked about long enough and decided to finally come out and say hello to everyone. I've collected mostly kitchen ware (Fiesta & Fireking jadite) and am a newbie when it comes to vintage appliances. Last year I took the plunge and found my dream stove, a Frigidaire Flair Custom Imperial (RCIH-645, 1964 model I believe). I found this site several months ago and have enjoyed seeing all the collections and reading the messages. My next quest is Frigidaire washers from the late 50’s thru early 70’s even if the chances are slim (I like a challenge). Wish me luck...

A big howdy!

Welcome aboard! This is a fun, interesting, and educational site. You will learn so much that your eyes will cross and your head will explode! Lots of information, terrific machines, and did I already mention FUN!

Nelson welcome. After reading through your profile, I dohave a suggestion. Since you want to restore some washers, especiallyt frigidaires, I would begin by tackling a simple machine like a Maytag to have you start being comfortabgle with the process. Bob

Fiesta Ware? The radioactive version? Hmm, maybe there's a way to use that stuff to generate electricity to power your house:-)

Fiestaware....and welcome to the club!

Welcome, you'll enjoy it here. This site actually keeps me sane some days.
I had dinner on Fiesta Ware last night (the new kind). A home made classic- beef stew & potatos. My wife was the water girl & used the Fiesta pitcher, which of course I wanted to take home & add to my collection. It was Salmon colored. She kept complaining about the spout being too big & pouring too fast... Oh well, we can't have style & everything

Hey there Nelson and welcome to the group!

When Salvo dropped the bomb in the Laundry, Tide went in and got the dirt went out, then all of a sudden Wisk did something that Grease Relief tried to do and that was to get the ring around the collar, but Clorox 2 did a better job when Biz took a break when Borax ran from Calgon but only to find out Surf took out BO and we all Gain from it. So stay tune and watch the coming attraction from As the World Turn.....

LOL

Welcome Nelson

Nice to see you post. We have fun here. My mother had fiesta ware years ago, I think she stuck it all in a good will box. These seemed like good dishes, and those big pitchers were really great. I think BBandB have those or maybe Dillard department stores. I have seen them recently somewhere.
