Nice Wilkins Servis...what other colours do you have? I just picked up an Baby Blue one (not in the best condition) and a white one with the stainless steel bowl.
hi leon i have 3 white , 1 baby blue, 1 yellow (in bad condition) and my everyday one. wilkins servis would have to be the one i love most but if its a wringer i will love it anyway.
And so pleased that the Aussie following is growing!!! Jamie you're absolutely going to love this site...
I too have two of the Simpson Roll-stop wringers and love them to pieces - and honestly thought too that I was the only one... I have one exactly the same as the second pic with the built in water heater - plus another without the heater...
So Jamie - where are you in Aus... Perhaps an induction wash-in is on the cards!!!!
Again - Welcome Jamie...
Like the TL automatic, was this machine manufactured in Australia? It has a close resemblence to the range we had here in the 1950s but those rocker switches date it later (in my eyes) than that.
Thanks
Al
Thanks to all for the welcome. I live on the Mid North Coast NSW in Kempsey near Port Macquarie. A wash-in sounds like great fun Steve.Yes the wilkin servis was made in australia.
Photo is my Hotpoint wringer.
cheers Jamie
I have just purchased one of these, photos attached, and am wondering if anyone can give me any information about when these machines were manufactured, where and whether they'd have been in Australia in 1954? Tricky to find that information online.
