I too own a W1613, I have had it for 4 yrs and it has the double skinned door. I must say I much prefer the door on your machine.

The first Miele W1613's did have the double skinned door, then later they changed to the single door design, generally they are very strong machines, and i hope it wil last long

I’ve taken delivery of a miele W5740 on 6th march 2012 to replace the Ise machine. the ise machine also went in to full spin at 1600 full of water and clothes half away through a cottons cycle the machine the engineer also said it required a new pcb also The inner tub kept banging on the outer...
