We had a big head of cabbage from the farmers market and decided to make haluski - not exactly health food but was it good!

I haven't had that in years!  Thanks for jogging my memory.  I need to whip up a batch of that soon!

Momma's House

Its comforting to have this respite reminding me of a time when mom's made food to nurture and life around the dinner table felt safe. I have moment's when I grieve the loss of my mother's awareness and its always most acute when I am sick or recovering. I want my mommy. Cabbage, butter, noodles and momma, all from Ralph and Kevin. I love your youtube hugs.

Moms cooking!!!

My Mom worked , so my maternal Grandmother who we lived with, did the cooking, she was the best at pastry and cakes of anyone I ever saw, but thought meat should be WELL done! My Dads Mom was the best at main dishes, but these recipes Kevin posts are completely new to me! And I love them! Thanks Kevin.

HI kevin

I so look forward to your You Tube times in the kitchen. I wish we all lived closer, we could have a great time in the kitchen. I am from Danish extraction and I could make some foods that my great-grandmother made in Kenosha, Wisconsin when I was a kid and would go there for Christmas etc.
Carmilized potatoes, red cabbage with current jelly and cake with rasberry filling were all favorites. Have fun now, Gary
