It has been a while since I came here for the first time, but now I think it's the time to come in and be part of this big "family". Hello Ingemar,

Always interesting to meet new people here. I immediately grab my chance to ask you a question: how does an American top loader ends up in Slovenia?

Welcome Ingemar, and there is no need to apologize. Your English is better than that of many Americans!

Ralph

Slovenian Washers!!

Welcome Ingemar to the club, I`m sure you will have lots of questions, and also that we can find out "How laundry is done with you"...I see you have a 1957 Hoover twintub, is it in working order!!! I love the Gorenje Laundry Appliances, the black washers are selling very well,am hoping they start to make it with the 2,000rpm spin speed!!!!...cheers, MIke

Hi Ingemar. Greetings from sunny Tucson, Arizona, USA.
Welcome to the club. I would love to see some pictures of your washing machines.

Welcome Ingemar!! We are so glad to have you with us. We all felt at one time that "we were the only ones" as well. You are going to enjoy being part of the family. Terry

Thanks people, you are so kind! :)) I would like to say thanks to everybody for this warm welcome!
Hi Theo, yes you are right, it's strange to see an American top loader in Slovenia. It was bought in Italy in 1994 from a company named Frigo 2000 (http://www.frigo2000.it/) Soon after, they discontinued to sell washing machines. It is realy well build, like a tank, but I have to say it hase a bit aggressive washing action, especially on small loads. (it hase a ramp agitator) I am in love with this washer. I was so fascinated when I first saw a washing action so different for us here in Europe.

Hi Mike, I am very glad to hear that you like gorenje washers. Well, unfortunately my HOOVER twintub can only wash, but cannot spin, because something is wrong with the extractor.
I will post pictures of my washers soon, maybe this weekend, bye bye, Ingemar

Hi and Welcome!

I think it's great you're here. We have a lot of fun with our machines.
Ingemar, your country had to start doing very many things for yourself in a very short span of time. What do you still make and do in Slovenia?
The students who come from your country are almost always studying the hard sciences (engineering, physics, electronics) at my university.

Hi Keven, thanks for your welcome. Yes, my country has really changed a lot in the last 10-15 years and is still growing. (I hope not too much because I still love the nature) It's a small but nice county. Yes I belive you, lots of our students are ambitious. Well I am not such a "scientist" , I work as a forwarder in an import-export agency. I can only say that I like foreign languages an I am able to speak slovenian, croatian, italian, english, russian and german. The last one not so good. Well, don't get me wrong, that's not so strange in our country, because we are very small and if we have to comunicate with others we must use a foreign language. But I think that the main reason is that our language is very difficult, so it's easier for us to learn onother one :)
