Sprog,
If you have the (old) complete URL(s) saved as a link,
and if you haven't tried it yet, go ahead and paste it in your browser URL bar. So far, all of my previously saved links over the years have still worked fine with the new site, they just automatically update to the new location.
However, this doesn't seem to work for the Applianceville archived posts, so other older archives possibly might not as well.
But, you can also try the
WayBack machine to see if the page is archived there, if it is, this lets you view it in it's original form, but it also lets you know the title of the thread to use on the search here on the site. The new site layout uses the thread(s) title within the URL now, so if typed in exactly the same in search, it should give you the exact thread you want as a hit.
Here is thread #25520 archived -

And here is it's current version on the updated site after putting the original URL in and letting it auto update -

#4060960 didn't show up at all, but I notice it has an extra long set of numbers. Typically post numbers seem to be no more than 5 digits, but that could just be coincidental in what I tested (I just mention it in case the post number was mistyped).
If you only have thread numbers you can try what I did and add the thread number to an old saved URL of another:
Use the thread below, remove the spaces first (didn't want a true link here) then change the thread number at the end from what it currently is to the one you want to view, this could be hit or miss of course if the main URL went through changes over time, it's possible I just got lucky, haha.
