Hi all,

Looking thru Kijiji, I came across this ad for "Kenmore Junior transmission". I can't figure out which machine this would have gone with. The agitator seems like a good size...I've never seen a transmission quite like it.

Any ideas or thoughts on this model? A Kenmore Junior?? I'd like to see one.

Guy

They are from a wringer washer model (not sure which). The drive input on the side of the transmission (drives a worm gear) is the identifier. However, there appears to be a part missing...the drive for the wringer (unless this was a manual wringer model).

This agitator was only used in wringer washers (although it did appear on a couple of 1956-1958 lower end automatics).

I had one of those (or a similar specimen) years ago, probably before age 12.  The mother and grandmother found it at a gas station.  Didn't work ... no agitator or wringer.  Dad got a tossed-off straight vane agitator from the local WP dealer (red bakelite!) which I worked by hand.
