I've taken apart an older Whirlpool Gas Stove and wanted to see if I could salvage some parts off from it. I can read the serial number just fine but the model number is almost completely gone. I was curious if there was a way to find the model number with the serial number? APL2101738 I do have a couple parts from it that have clear part numbers on them but still didn't help me pinpoint which model I had. The top black glass panel says Whirlpool.

It looked like this one but had black handles.

That is where I got the picture. It looks almost exactly like it but its not it. It doesn't say premier on it where the knobs are. It says Whirlpool on the back glass. I was hoping to somehow find a close enough model number for mine from using the serial number so I can use the available charts/part number charts but it may not be possible.

Though I guess it might be possible its a later version prior to premier, or perhaps a premier version just labeled Whirlpool. I wish I would have taken a picture prior to taking it apart.

Never knew Premier made stoves for Whirlpool. I don't think I've even seen a 36" or 40" Whirlpool range before. The only newer 36" or 40" ranges I see anymore are the Frigidaire or Kenmore Elite stainless steel models.

Although I DID see a Sunray 20" electric range branded as Whirlpool once!

The center burner looks like it converts to a griddle like the old griddle in the middle ranges did.

First of all thanks for all the replies. So is the one I have an older Whirlpool Range made by Premier? I tried looking up the ID number to get a date but the site I use wanted a model number, which like I mentioned is pretty much unreadable. I figured maybe I could piggy back off the parts for a newer Premier model like the one I pictured but looking up the model # for the newer models yields nothing in terms of parts on my reference sites.

Since I scrap a decent amount of appliances I try and save as many parts as I can. I actually had someone personally write me ecstatic over a particular set of bolts they had been trying to find for the last 2 years. With this stove without a model number to look up part numbers its difficult to list them and put them in the hands of people that need those parts. Here is a picture of the glass panel I was talking about.

It was definitely a Whirlpool that looked identical to the premier picture I posted.
