Help me decide on Beko

You are probably right, but I must say the machine in the picture looks amazingly a lot like a Bosch. The dispenser, the door, the linttrap and the (Siemens dial) all shout Bosch/Siemens to me.

I dont want to be rude but I am in shock by that comment!

Why in shock? Look at the machine in the first message in this thread and then at this picture. Same dispenser, same door, same linttrap.

Almost the same door, the doorhandle in the first picture is more a Siemens one. Like the centre dial.

I think the comparison to Hotpoint sums them up quite well, cheap and easily attainable parts and labour, as well as very easy to service designs.

They seem to be gaining popularity amongst average consumers and us washer enthusiasts alike. In a time where the other budget brands are losing their once great reputations and standards of quality and repairability and getting worse and worse, this makes for a refreshing change IMO.

Hi yes i agree visually the door handle and the lindtrap are very similar to the casual eye.

I thought you meant the internal shot of the Beko, not the first picture.

Beko looking like Bosch

I too have noticed a similarity in styling, I sense a case of copycat though. Why pay for a designer when you can use someone else's designs? Or maybe a designer was paid but spent all their time away on a cruise ship and then knocked the plans together in 5 minutes? Arcelik, unfortunate name - dishonest designers...
