Hi All,

I love my 1959 kitchen. I love my beautiful well made cabinets; I even love my 1959 GE double ovens. But I HATE to clean them, so on the usually excellent advice and with the diligent assistance of our wonderful Kelly, I've spent years seeking the perfect P-7.

About a month ago, I thought I had found it. I forwarded the Craig's list ad to Kelly. He said it looked perfect. I asked him if it would fit, and he said yes. So I bought it, had a cousin truck it across Mississippi, met her at the state line, then spent four hours on the side of the road with a busted radiator before proudly bringing it home.

Today the installer came, uninstalled my old ovens, hauled the new ones up the stairs, then we discovered that the new ones are 5" taller than the old ones...

OK, I should have asked the seller to measure the ovens, but Kelly is perfect, right? It never occurred to me to doubt him.

I could modify my cabinets, but I did mention that I love my beautifully made 1959 cabinets, didn't I?

I still love Kelly and haven't felt a moment of anything but laughter and love over this whole thing. So there really is no urgent need to "save his bacon," but I sure would like for someone to give these ovens a home. I'd like it even better if I could break even at $250. I'm happy to help pack and crate.

So, here it is. I will, of course, measure for anyone who is interested. I want to make sure it's the right size before anyone else buys it!

Best,
Sarah
