Hi, I found this gorgeous dryer in the basement of a home I just bought. The dryer is in mint condition and looks to have been rarely used. It still works beautifully. What can you tell me about it? Any ideas on the vintage? Are there any collectors out there interested to buy?
Thanks!

Probably 1968-1971, but someone here can decipher the serial number and identify exact manufacture date. Soft heat s an automatic variable heat that gradually decreases as load dries. Try the auto dry cycle. Wrinkle guard tumbles the load every 5 minutes in air only mode after the auto dry cycle. (Until you open the dryer door). This is a vry nice dryer.

Manufacture date is 46th week (Nov 10-14) of 1969.

The timer dial probably is backlit, in case the bulb is burned out.

Would it be a model 700 or 70 in the lineup of the time?

Claraloiza, the leading 110. on the model number is a code indicating Sears sourced it from Whirlpool.  As you may know, Sears doesn't itself manufacture anything, all Kenmore-branded appliances are produced by the various manufacturers to Sears specifications for features and styling.

Thank you everyone! That timing coincides with the date the original owners moved in 1969. It's hard to believe that with 3 children growing up in the home the dryer is still in such good condition.

Unique Kenmore Dryer

Hi these were very good dryers and given its condition you could probably get many years out of it.

We have a white pair W&D in our museum here in Beltsville Maryland like your dryer.

Unfortunately there is not much monetary value in most vintage dryers, the best thing is to keep using it as it is just as efficient as a new electric dryer, most repairs this dryer might need in the future are also easy to do.
