Help with my hotpoint 9605

Hey guys...

I dismantled my 9605 top loader to give it a service and a clean. But I just can’t figure out how to put the interlock back together. May sound stupid but theres no click when I shut the lid as there’s supposed to be.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there

Do you have a service book for your 9605? I could scan the relevant pages for you if you would like them. I suspect it is possibly the pecker on the gearbox that needs adjusting - does it spin or not?

Alternatively there is very good chap that has rebuilt Hotpoint Top Loaders for practically everyone who has one on here and I'm sure he could help.

Thanks for replying, I dont have any service info or manuals for this machine and it does not spin at all (fills and washes okay). there was quite alot of limescale in this washer so i took it apart to descale the tub and give it a clean out. it would be a massive help if you could scan the pages.
