this bottle represents a new kind of molding. I saw it on the Science Channel. They preprint the label on a clear plastic and then it is stuck in the mold before the molding process by static electricity, that holds it against the mold surface. Then the plastic for the bottle is injected in and the heat melds the label to the plastic. When the mold is opened you pull out a completely labelled bottle ready to fill.

Hi Rich thanks for the review I tried this when it first came out the packaging was silver and blue I liked, it still have a couple of bottles left from a visit to the states. Tell me have they changed the scent the one I bought smells kinda like bubblegum.

Love US Detergents and softeners!

Thanks
Jim

Wisk Dual Action

while many of you know I prefer powder, I recently bought a bottle of "new" Wisk Dual Action HE. I was very impressed with the cleaning ability and agree with Jon-Charles. It is far better than Tide Liquid. It also has a very pleasant scent. I would highly recommend it.

Oh Robert there was no reporting of SD Alcohol in this produ

I've got one word for you: Dash

Don't worry Jon, my rubber boots are totally safe, expecially since no liquid detergent will ever enter this house, SD Alcohol or not. Hmmmmmph.

I can hear the screams of your poor vintage boots, seals and hoses being eatin' alive all the way from here.

LOL

That's okay, Jon :-P Thanks for the review--I'm really intrigued by your product tests, and since I have a front-loader these days, it does mean a lot...a suds-cake in the 1-18 is peanuts compared to the Westinghouse barfing suds out the top of the door! :-|

Jetcone:

I appreciate that the bottle represents a new technology, but it does not look much like a package for laundry detergent. It looks more like a package for an automotive performance additive like STP or Gunk Stop-Leak.

Even though it is triple concentrated as opposed to Tide's new 2X formula, I find the Wisk to be way easier to play around with dosage-wise, even in a TL.

The new Tide with Bleach Alternative concentrate sudses up for DAYS and nothing will dissipate the bubbles.

If the powers that be at Unilever would grant me ONE wish (besides making All powder less sudsy again), I would ask them to take the All HE triple concentrate liquid and bring out a lemon fragrance (not "citrus", just plain ol' lemon.)

I don't mind Wisk smelling "Wisk-y" (or "Wisk-y-ish") for the hardcore mud and shmutzy stuff, but it would be so nice to have a nice, "lemon-fresh" detergent for colors and lightly-soiled loads, that would be reasonably priced.

I do not go to Safeway that often, but I was there today and saw that their house brand of liquid laundry detergent Safeway Select 2X ULTRA HE comes in either regular or dye & fragrance free. I did the sniff test and the regular stuff did not smell too bad. Since it was on sale for $3.50 for a 32 load bottle, I bought one to test. I am not expecting anything great from it, but I am interested in how much foam it produces in the rinses. Since I wash small loads in my HE machines, I think the bottle will yield more than 32 loads. If it produces too much foam in the rinses, I will use it in one of the top loaders.
