Honey!!!

She is absolutely beautiful!! Did you mention how old she is? I may have missed it, if you did. I had a dachshund that looked a lot like her. His name was Bailey, and he was a sweetheart! However, he did seem to get revenge if I'd be away....destroying a telephone cord, chewing through an electric blanket cord, eating a wicker basket, etc. But, he was soooooo sweet! I'm sayin' that dogs are better than people.

You've inspired me....I think I'll post a pic of my two doggies!

Honey (Honey Roundbottom Von Weinerhausen is her full name) turned 6 on June 28. I adopted her three years ago.

Yep, she's pretty much in charge here and knows it. If I'm late coming home from work, she's right there at the door ready to start yelling at me.

Jon, she has the softest, silkiest coat. And the toastiest, velvetiest tummy! She likes to snuggle under the covers with me at night. I don't mind that!

veg, who isn't proud or anything...

Our Dachshund, Shadow, is the boss of the house for sure. He even has his own mythology: We think that in a previous life he was a 1920's era travelling salesman from Toledo, who dealt in ladies ready-to-wear.

His friend Crackers (the nutty Pomerainian) was his ditzy blonde secretary. Actually, he still is. But now they're both dogs.

And the Cat, Sputnik, was a disdainful buyer at a major department store who never wanted to buy his line of ready-to-wear. He still doesn't.

(Okay, so I have a lot of time on our hands. But at least I don't dress them in character ;-)

dangalang--(Sorry; Dr. Mitch called you that once and it stuck!)

I remember reading the traveling salesman story on your website. And laughing my butt off!

Certainly you have some more pictures of Shadow that you'd be willing to share? I guess it will come as a surprise to noone that I love weiners!

Since we're sharing pets...
This is Betty--she's a scrappy little former streetwalker who walked up to Todd one day with repentence in her eyes--and burned pads because she had walked through fresh asphalt. She has completely acclimated to her new glamorous (though chaste) life of lounging on her doggie bed, having meals put out for her, being chauferred around town, and generally having her every whim catered to.

Awwwwwwww doggone it!

Such sweet babies! I guess I'll have to post a pic of our little darlings. Would love to take a family shot, but they fight like cats and dogs!! ;-)
