I loved to read the super fourms on this site all the tine but never bothered to join. Thanks to you, I found vacuumland. I love vacuums and vintage a/c's and air purifiers. If you can show me pics of your vintage a/c's and purifiers that would be great. My favorite a/c is the ge fashionette and carrycool. my favorite air purifier is the puritron 60. My favorite vacuum's are hoover dial a matic and oreck cvr.

GE fashionette

I have a fashionette air conditioner in my workshop in the backyard. It was left there by the previous owner. It gets COLD! I've measured 38 degree duct temperatures, and I found out why...it uses R12, not R22 like most home air conditioners use. The GE spike-fin coils help too! It's a great little air conditioner, but it's a nightmare to service. I took it apart to clean it out when I moved in, and that is a MAJOR job getting the chassis out the plastic cabinet!
