Just wandered through Lowes. Was doing a little bit of looking on behalf of my brother for dishwashers--he's doing a major redo of the house. We recommended Bosch, as we've had good service from a cheap Ascenta (plastic bottom). Was curious to see what was being sold these days. Apparently there are two WP designs (the rectangular filter with the triangular pump guard and the round manual-clean). GE seems to be only the single design with the half-circular coarse/round manual clean filter. Hisense seems to be a cheap-y Bosch clone (noted it was manufactured in Slovakia/Slovenia) with a small diameter round manual-clean filter. Only Bosch and Hisense have the hidden heating element. Who's the parent of Hisense? THought it was just another Chinese brand, but apparently not.

Their fingers in literally everything...
