Hisense dryer recall

Just came across this, only a few days old.

Some rather current Hisense dryers have an issue with the wiring to the compressor potentially overheating. Thus, this recall. I doubt many on here have such a model - but better safe than sorry.

Sorry, but any of those recent brand names raises red flags in my opinion.

Models Affected: DHSS102BB, DHSS102BB/PL, DHSS102BW, DHSS102BW /PL, DHSS102BW /UA, DHSS902BW

The compressor wiring harness may be damaged due to contact with the support drum wheel. This can lead to overheating and potential hazards.

Some Hisense TVs have reportedly started showing advertisements with the volume automatically turned up, every time they come out of standby, after a recent firmware update.

Indeed, this "overload" of advertizing has gotten out of hand.
There used to be an hour-long tv show with only a brief product advertizment of one minute long on the half-hour and at the ending of the show.
Now?.... every 8 to 10 minutes, for almost 5 minutes long, another damned commercial!! - pushing numerous stupid products!
I sit there with my finger glued to the MUTE button on the remote!
I just don't want to hear these ads!
I don't need them I don't want them, to me they're all dumb or scams designed to brainwash or cost me money for Snake Oil products.... and drugs.
