HOBART commercial undercounter dishwasher

Did anyone see this stainless steel Hobart undercounter dishwasher for sale on ebay? It is a beauty located in East Freetown MA. They are asking $250.00 or best offer. Hope someone will get it!

Yeah these UM's were really nice machines that basically lasted forever with a minimum of care. But sadly, they went out of production over 20 years ago and there are no parts available for it. Now many parts on it and the KD11 thru 14's are the same like the pump and drain valves and of course, the Big Blue Wash Arm!
The pump and washarm support parts are all metal and will last forever in a domestic machine.

But if you wanted to get this as a donor machine for your Kitchenaid, you had better have a gravity drain on it or else the pump will be useless. 99.9% of the UM motors do not accomodate the drain pump that bolted to the bottom of the Kitchenaid Motor.

BTW, there are still 3 shaft seals avaiablle for the vertical style motors. Part number 077107. Your local Hobart office will have to have them brought in from the 3 remaining offices that show them in stock.

That makes sense since the rinse water drained while the machine was being unloaded. IOW when the cycle ended after the rinse circulation, power was cut to the whole machine including the drain valve which then opened to let the water out. That's why the cycle started with a 30 second timer adjustment to bring it back around to the start of the cycle.

What a treat it was for me to discover daddy's stash of commercial DW and bottle washer spec sheets from the 50/60s. I knew where they were in his files and made sure to bring them home after his funeral. Thanks, Dad.
