Great Design..but of course it is!
Bob, of course it would be a powerful washer! It is really a 18 series Kitchenaid pump design which we all know was a great system. Also the same as the WM5 Commercial Series.I was truly amazed when I saw this come out on the American market. As you know the Canadian market had it about 5 years before we did. I was amazed that they went back to the older pump design when they had come out with the LX series already. The improvements made in the SR24 were significant, especially the float system for the waterlevel. My friend and I had proposed that to the engineers way back when the WM 5 first came out especially when they did away with the floats like the domestic units that were part of the original designs on specific WM5 models. I didn't think Whirlpool would have continued to manufacture these parts but then again, maybe WP was licensing them from Hobart. I will have to probe further. It is a popular machine down here. A lower cost entry that does a great job. The tank isn't the same as the 18 or the WM 5 as you know but not problem with capacity. Too bad you can't get a Kitchenaid rack into it, though the 18 rack might just squeeze in. Wlll certainly hold more dishes for you.
Have fun with it. It looks great in the Kitchen.
One last thing.. I think an LX series would match perfectly with the range next to it. The control panels have the same oval motif!
