Ok folks,
We are looking into getting a couple of kayaks for some additional exercise and to use camping. From a camping point of view, they may also be used to get us there....
So far, we have paddled a Wilderness Tarpon 120 and 160....and are looking to paddle a Hobie Mirage Revolution. Even though the Hobie is $700 dearer, it is the front runner due to the additional flexibility of the Mirage drive, sail availability AND option of integrating electric drive (rather than putting it on the back). We know the eVolve is expensive, but a local chap has modified the 'bung' that fits into the Mirage Drive hole to take a normal electric drive for, including the electric motor, $700 or about 1/4 what Hobie charge...
So, what do we need....
Stability is key
Not stupidly wide
Flexibility
Capacity of at least 150kg/335lb
Thoughts or other options?
