HOLD ON!!! NEW ASKO SERIES!!!!!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Apparently ASKO is now owned by SERVIS's parent company, Merloni (not Indesit).

It would be reasonable to assume that there is sometimes a bit of 'horse trading' going on, getting one factory to make for another; using parts from other factories. Similar to the way that the Hoover machines started incorporating Candy parts.

Possibly not good for Asko's reputation.

Asko have been part of Merloni for some time now, 7 years in fact. I dont think theres been any issues of quality dropping, they seem to turn out some consistently well built machines. I just love the new design. It is soooo nice.I can't wait to see one and take a look. It's good to see some really good looking machines coming out lately after such boring efforts of recent years from most companies.

Asko...

Asko havent anything with the Merloni company to do, but is just owned by them. I think Asko will continue to fabricate their machines in Sweden for many years. Maybe for ever.... They must live up to theirs fame. Any here who have pics of REALLY old Asko's? 25 years old or more?

What interests me more than the uber-fast spin is having a machine, a large capacity machine, that will finally reach the high temperatures that made European washing machines desirable to me. Boil that laundry!
