Quick Question

On another site (from which I received the hobo ejectus), there was a term for pumping a thread back up -- but I can't remember it. I think it was a techie type term - but don't know. ???

Research/bump

...aahhhhh yes, "bump" - I did some search on web etiquette and that seems to be the standard term. I also read a post about how it may be improper for the, the, _______________ [the person who started the thread] to "bump" his own thread back up. Makes sense to me (smile). Y'all take care.

I do believe

the thread's originator is supposed to ask the webmaster for a 'sticky' if there is good reason to keep the thread around past its time, as opposed to 'bump'.
Still, I have seen folks bump stuff here and it never offended me, do it myself occasionally when it's of value...
Some sites are going to a system of + or - whereby threads can be hidden, depending on their level of positive or negative comments. Sure be a good idea around here some times...I wish the instructions on how to fix a Telechron were permanently available...some other threads, well, at least they eventually die.

Lawd have mussy. Ask Robert for a "sticky" and you are bound to have something interesting flying at your head.

I can see a wet wad of toilet paper clocking me in the head.......

Who luvs ya baby? *LOL*
