At one of my local Gay Pride rally's Home Depot did have a real both encouraging people to hire on. I would LOVE to work there! Sounds too fun to me. I live right next door to a Homo Depot and some of their salespeople asked me many times to apply. But no way. They drug test and my THC's are off the charts. Too bad, so sad. BTW, Lawrence, your posts kill me. I always know it will be a "Depend's Moment" when I see your name......Bill in Az.....

Homo Depot

I have many friends who are employed by Home Depot. I applaud their lack of judgement with the gay issue.

I also read, that Sears is much less open and affirming of gay employees.

Everytime I buy an appliance, there is no thought, to where I will shop.

Is the Home Depot shopping experience perfect? No, but then it isn't any better at Sears.

just an observation, but i've noticed this whole automatic washer site is dominantly homosexual to say the least.

interesting.

Washer boys

When I arrived here I was surprised to come to that realization.

I was extolling the wonder of water in a thread.

How much enjoyment I get from listening to the rhythms of water in the different brands of dishwashers, water sloshing in a front loader and the gentle smack smack of a sprinkler outside the window at school.

Robert says, "it is the water that unifies us."

Perhaps it was feeling "dirty" so much of my life and finally coming to a place where I am "washed clean"

Oddly enough, at this very moment I have Alan Jackson's new CDPrecious Memories. The song, Are You Washed, is playing.

Are there co-incidence?

Gays in the group

Hi, John and welcome to our group. Yes, there is a few gay people in here, but we have a lot of straights in here too. Some of them have met through this site and have gotten married!!! (not me) I just know that we all LOVE appliances here and some in this group are highly educated. (not me) but a day never goes by that I don't learn something. I hope my previous post didn't offend you. Enjoy and please stay in our group!!!.....Bill in Az....

Thanks. I've been here for a few months now, and no you didn't offend me at all, nor do care about peoples' orientations. It was just an observation.

Nevertheless i love this forum and have learned a ton of stuff. I hope when i have a place of my own some peeps around here can help me find some of my favorite machiens to put in my home.

advice

Hi, John. Sure We'll help you out. With 700 members, you won't find better advice than this group....Bill in Az....

There are gays in this club?

OMG!

Well, I'm not gay, I'm not bi. I'm tri...trisexual...

I'll try anything.

LMAO....JUST KIDDING!

Thank you, and good night!

I was looking for Brokeback Mountain in the 1950's!!

One gay one here, found this wonderful site in March of 2003.

I helped my mother fold washcloths and towels as a small child. I think those memories, along with the fact that the world seemed more simple and kind back them, founded my affection for the early automatic washers.

Here is an old photo of me from 1957.

Anyone know the way to Brokeback Mountain?? LOL!!!

Rickr

Very cute pics of you. You should have been in some kind of Osh Kosh or some other kids clothing publication.....Bill in Az.....

The washer hobby is the gay man's car hobby.

Said: Just an observation, but i've noticed this whole automatic washer site is dominantly homosexual to say the least.

Response: Well we are the ones who admit it anyway!

I mean, I saw that agitator pumping up and down in a pink machine (I am not joking here!) and my gaydar went off the charts. I mean Freud would have a field-day with that home-page.

Thought for the day:
Remember closets are for gowns, darling!

OMG...

You are so right, Toggle. At least we are ALL different or life would be too damn boreing, but at least we love our appliances.....Bill in Az.....

We may be the biggest, Mary-est, gayest, swishest *GIRLS* on the planet, but when *push comes to shove* I absolutley LOVE that we as a group seem to be just as talented with a tool-box (hey! KEEP IT CLEAN!)as we are with the cuisinart and a heat-source.

LIVING WELL IS THE BEST REVENGE.
We have had to learn to do everything to survive.
(Five dolla make you holla!)

What makes a man a man?
Someone who doesn't have to prove anything to anyone, including himself.

G-D I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Bill-

Thank you for the kind words about my humour. I do try to share as much humour as often as possible.

However, "Homo Despot" is hardly original with me, guy.

Did somebody get married? I missed it! Do tell!

BTW, I would be shocked if I walked into any Home Improvement store and they really had any idea of what in the hell they were talking about! I have to find my *one* guy if I have a plumbing question. All the others don't know their ass from a hole in the ground! I would love it if they hired knowledgeable people in all departments.

Well I just applied to Lowe's today........hopefully i'll get the job. I've dabbled in everything from plumbing to lawn/garden, electrical to appliances. i'm not really a specialist, but i know a bit about it all.

Best of Luck

Hi, John. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting the job. If not, they didn't desereve to have you as an employee.....Bill in Az.....

Attn. Bill

No s**t! As in boy meets girl on automaticwasher.org, boy and girl hit it off, they fall in love and get married? That would be interesting. By the way, I'm heterosexual and in the market.
THC's should really be a nominal issue, but then again I would legalize weed if I could.
One more thing, do you really use an insulin pump?

Baiting the Hook

Maybe, if you're looking to hook some one here, you should think about your group name.

Oh, mom, I just met the most amazing knitwhit. Can I marry him?

insulin pump

Hi, Jason. I've used the pump for 4 yrs now. No more insulin shots!!!! I'ts the size of a pager and connects to you with a tubing that is taped to your skin. I'm 40 now and was blessed with diabestes when I was 22. Yes, as I take a bow. You can see pics and find out everything about the pump and diabetes at Insulin pumpers.org.....Bill in Az.....

Hi Bill. I have diabetes too, but so far am doing all right with medications.
Hi Kelly. I thought my screen name was kind of clever, do I stand corrected?

Names

Far be it from me offer suggestions.

It took me 55 years to find the "one"

I wouldn't change your name one whit!
