hoover 0307 washing machine

Hi I am working on my machine at the moment. The pulsator has a big crack in the Bakelite right to the steel shaft. Any suggestions to make a lasting repair which would withstand moderately hot water. I would have bought one as they are still available for later models however the pulsator is at least 1 cm bigger and the diameter of the shaft is thicker.
