I have a Hoover 3022a - and was wondering if anyone knew where I could source an Owners Manual, and/or a Service Manual of any sort?

Would be much appreciated

Moot

Hi Moot.

Please can you post a picture of the front of the machine, just to confirm what the machine is.

Hopefully will be able to help, if my suspicions are correct.

Regards
Paul

Yes, it is a dryer. I tried to edit the post and add more pics, but couldn't as I am a Novice... :-(....
But now I think I can as a reply.

Hi Martin.
Thanks for the photos.
Had to be sure exactly what the machine was as, although in the UK model 3022 images are plentiful model 3022A has never knowingly been photographed.

Model 3022A is visually identical to model 3022 so, unless you look at it's innards, you'd never know the difference.

I won't go into too much history BUT lol ....

'507'

With the Model 3022A appearing briefly for period circa 1975 - your machine was built in July 1975.

1975 saw a new range introduced in the UK - the 'Superstyle' range - replacing the previous 'Matchbox' range of which model 3022/3022A was a part.
Model 3022A was a bit different though, as although visually it was the old range, mechanically it was as per the new range, with a number of internal differences when compared to the old matchbox range ....

I do hope the previous image is legible - I also hope the instruction manual and servicing info I am about to post is legible too!

The pictures are not small and of good quality, but whenever I upload images the site shrinks them and decimates the quality of them.

If they are bad, I can e-mail them to those who want copies of them.

Hi Rolls Rapide.

The differences were to do with the bearings, both front and back and the motor.

Hopefully its legible in my previous image - fingers crossed.

Instruction manual for Model 3022 ....

.... but will equally apply to model 3022A as differences were mechanical, rather than performance ....

Yes - thanks!

Legible, and understandable - from the time when Hoover was open and honest with its information.

Pity the same can't be said of the modern company...! (and I speak from recent experience).

Well on my computer the images i've uploaded show up in an awful quality, which is why I don't tend to post pictures, or do history threads anymore cause I can't maintain the picture quality.
Ah well, so long as they are readable - as I mentioned before, if anyone wants proper copies of what I post on this thread - let me know and I will e-mail them.

Matchboxes in Australia

Both the UK Hoover mid range washing machine - model 3236H - and the dryer started being exported to Australia around 1974, the advert below being dated from that year, with the the machines being marketed as Hoover 'Space Makers'....
