Hey all,
I am new and it's great to be here. My dream machine is a Hoover 520 or 525 or 565. Any one got one they might want to sell to a guy in Sydney?
Recently bought a 1989 Hoover Commander top loader. The whole thing's tan, panels included. I believe this is the last of the washers that used the cast iron gear box of the 500s, 600s, 700's and 800's? Funny this one has no number, just called 'Commander'. Anyway the agitator does not agitate durning wash and free spins when you turn it by hand. Gear box problem I reckon. Spin works fine.
Any of you guys know about the gear boxes used by Hoover on their large auto washers over the last 30 years? They look the same. Would appreciate any help before i dive into it!
