Finally something we agree on lol

The fact is that Candy own and manufacture Hoover. It's difficult to argue with a fact. Although, you'd probably give it a damn good try.

You been chewing a wasp today?

Not at all, I just can't stand people who try to insult me one minute and think I'll have forgotten about it in a few days and try to be nice as pie like butter wouldn't melt.

Chris, I really am not interested in who is right or wrong and rather we just get a long. Life is too short and I for one don't want enemies (not that I have any i hasten to add). So apologies if I insulted you. I am straight to the point I know and it comes across the wrong way sometimes don't take it personally as I am nothing like that in real life.

I think it's quite obvious that you don't think before you speak.

A lot of members on here have spent YEARS and a hell of a lot of money building their collections and are quite proud of their exceptional standards when it comes to laundry. So for you to sign up to the forum and immediately start telling longtime respected members that they're wrong is hardly the way to make friends.

You also seem completely oblivious to the fact that there are people on here with WAY greater knowledge than you. And I'm not talking about me either - the members who have been here for years have far greater knowledge than I do and I've picked up many tips from them all over the years. Next time somebody offers you a piece of advice or a helpful hint or tip, don't just dismiss it and tell them they're wrong. It is hardly the way to make a good impression now, is it?

Having said that, I've more than likely just wasted 2 minutes of my life typing that out as it all seems to go in one ear and out the other with you, until someone says something you want to hear.

Rant over.

and FYI, yes, you did insult me.

I've spent a LOT of time and effort listening to advice of those more knowledge than myself. I'm a self confessed clean freak and proud of my clean home and clean laundry.

So for you to come on here and make out like I know nothing after I've actually listened to other people and taken on what they've said and recomended and spent hours of trial and error to get the results I am happy with, something that you seem incapable of doing, is very insulting.

Ok point taken. I would rather ask for advice on here than go to Curry's if I needed help in deciding what washer to go for.

The whole point I joined the site was to share common interest and possibly meet new people.

Ok fair enough.

Actually I would like to point out that if it wasn't for PaulC mentioning Halo non bio I would never of heard of it and to you Chris about the Almat. So I do listen (sometimes).

That's pretty much why we're all here. And the more the merrier. And the fact that you have your own experiences and opinions is great - new knowledge is brilliant and every single member...well, ok member not EVERY single member, but most grounded, open minded members will happilly discuss that with you.

But you can't go about telling people they're wrong. Just because something doesn't work for you, doesn't mean it won't for somebody else. Like shallow rinsing is not the best for you, but others might prefer it. For whatever reason, it works for them.

So instead of saying "I'm not interested in hearing how good shallow rinses are", "no, you're wrong, it doesn't work" and "no, you need to use X detergent in Y machine", maybe...just MAYBE...try discussing it instead of dismssing it. A response like "that's great, I've never found X works well for me, but great that you do" goes a LONG way.

So, lets move on, yes? Leave that where it is and start a fresh.

Il second what Chris said and bury the hatchet too on the condition I see no more catty comments or dismissing of solid evidence, experience and truthful findings.

Id be quite happy to entertain another friend at my candlelight indoor outdoor bbq's .....dosing balls in your washload........

Now now, Robert, the less about your balls the better!

I've been meaning to tell you to turn the bloody light on next time, it's awfully difficult to see what I'm washing in the dark!!

Sounds good to me. Am sure you are all really nice people at the end of the day who I would get on well with in person. I get on well with most people providing they aren't racist, homophobic or horrible to animals.

Well, it's done with now, Ben. Lets all me grown ups and move on, yes?

"I would rather ask for advice on here than go to Curry's if I needed help in deciding what washer to go for"

Don't even get me started on Currys staff. A friend of mine used to work for them. Whenever they put him in the appliances department, he would always recomend Hotpoints because that was the only brand he knew of.

^ditto what Rob said.

Although, truth be told, I can be mildy racist sometimes but that's largely due to living far too close to Bradford.

Also, meet the queen of West Yorkshire....
