Hi guys here are some pics of my Grandma's Hoover Six 1500 spin washing machine, model number AL150. This machine washers and rinses far better than my hotpoint and it's 1500 spin is fantastic as the clothes come out dry. When they go into the White Knight WK447 tumble dryer only needs to go on for 15-20 mins.

Also I will upload some vids but of cause they were made by my mobile,just to give you a bit of a warning lol!!!!

Richard Nuttall.

Here is my first vid of the washer. The water level is obvious, I raised it myself as water hardly goes to the top of the drum rim. But when I raised it I liked how splashy the water was and made quite a few suds.

Here is the first spin and notice the pitch of the moter whine is different when the AL150 Spins at 400 than the AL120 does 400.

Here the machine does a 40* cotton wash with a hooded top and it was a sudsy wash, even on the 2nd rinse before they cleared up.

Wooo, Thanks for the mention in your vid!

I assume the options are similar to mine.
* 6Kg Wash
* Express Wash
* Extra Rinse
* Spin Cancel (or Fast Iron)

I used to top mine up too, otherwise you never saw the water level, even with extra rinse pressed. (It didn't add an extra rinse either, just a bit more water)

Here the main wash is continued, do you like it Hoover 3060? You know I'm a nice guy really. The spin was going from 400 to 800 but the suds got very thick when it went to 550.

Enjoy as I'm now at home with the hotpoint now and there are no more vids of the machine atm.

The options were
* 6Kg Wash
* Express Wash
* Extra Rinse
* Fast Iron

And the center dial everyone is the temp cntrol where as the far right is the program dial. I like this machine very much.

Hi Richard

Nice machine. I like machines without a handle to open the door.I prefer ones which you use a button on the fascia or a latch next to the door. Suds lock is unusual on a modern machine (I think). I never got it when we had the candy in our old house even when using Ariel..lol.

Hoover AL150

My Aunt has this machine, it works exactly the same as our ex Candy Sprint 1100.
No shame in using a mobile for vid filming, Richard, I use my Nokia E65 for my vids.

btw, the AL150 wasn't the top model in the Hoover Six range, that went 2 the AAA140/160 models with the inter@ct text display, and also the rare Seven model with a drum looking like that out of an old Zerowatt lol :)
