HI ALL, I JUST NEED SOME ADVICE.
MY WASHER WORKS FINE DOES ALL ITS CYCLES ETC BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE LAST SPIN IT SOUNDS LIKE A JET ENGINE READY TO TAKE OFF, NO KNOCKING JUST A REALLY LOUD SPIN THAT IT DEAFENS YOU IF YOU ARE SAT IN THE KITCHEN, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE

Hoover Aquarius... too true!

I call my Hoover like that... Aquarius... when it oddly adds too much water to the rinse cycle... but I understand you're talking about a real Hotpoint... well drum bearing failure and that :-P

If you're up for it (and you model hasn't got a sealed tub) you can change the bearings yourself... many videos on YouTube show how to do this... I included a link below as an example.

Good luck :-)

PS: might wish to check Washerhelp.co.uk for spare parts retailers.
