A very nice piece of equipment, in great condition

the Hoover Constellation 'Model 86' (vintage vac)

(Manufactured in North Canton, OH, circa 1960)

I have a few myself.. I like them except that they tend to blow all the dog hair on the floor up into the air before you have a chance to vacuum it up.  Now if I didn't have the dog it would be a different story.

Yes, Petek, I agree with you.

The powerful air flow exhaust from the motor tends to blow the dust all around the house so that you can either vacuum it (succion) or send it all in the air!

One interesting fact also is the motor of the Connie was, more or less, the same motor which came to equip the small twin tub washing machines (minus very slight differences, the same Constellation vac motor for the spinner on those machines).

Just found that great looking Constellation vacuum on Kijiji (Dec. 2016).

Stainless steel finish, 'silver' color with black handle and bumper...

Very reminiscent to the Satellite canister vac sold in the U.K. by Maytag :

Powerful motor, great succion, 12 Amperes. One of my Hoover jewels.

The unfortunate thing about those "new" Connies is that the hose is too short and tight so the canister keeps bumping into your feet.. Otherwise they're quite nice.
