Zanussi Origins.....
As aeg03 said, it's predominantly the ZWG1140M Zanussi machine (see link below) that's manufactured outside of the EU & i don't think it's badged as Flexi-Dose. It seems to be a well-performing machine too, from what owners reviews say.
I wasn't aware that any other Zanussi's were made outside of the EU but if people have experience of that being the case then i guess this means it's worthwhile checking the label inside the door. Usually on Zanussi machines it states 'Made in EU' so if it doesn't then that might be a hint that it's Chinese model. Either way, there's no suggestion yet that the current range are any less durable than the previous 'Essential' badged machines, such as the Spanish-built one my Parents have owned since late 2007. On Flexi-Dose (but not Jetsystem) machines the pump is mounted on the outer tub which appears to be a cost-cutting measure, but pump failure on all modern machines seems alot less likely than bearing & electronic failure, so i wouldn't be overly concerned. As mentioned, many brands share the same durable drain pumps anyway.
At the current reasonable prices it's probably worth spending the extra on a Jetsystem as it does without the quirky new filter in the drum & appears to have less modifications than the Flexi-Dose models, but in any case i'd be fairly confident that whilst some Hoover/Candy owners are highly satisfied with their machines, Zanussi's products still appear to please more people more of the time & can cost less to purchase too.
With that in mind the odds to begin to stack against Hoover-Candy for all but the most loyal customers.
