there's one on ebay now, check Als Classic Uk appliance thread over on shopper square, Just over a day to go.

I've not seen many of these dryers come up so would be worth considering.

Hi Mathew is that the one with the chrome missing around the door?
If so do you know where to few the chrome or a new door?

yes that's the one

but I wouldn't reject it because of the chrome trim, yes the trims are difficult to come by, but again the dryers are that frequent either, the chances are a washer or dryer will come up in the future of a later model, that could donate a chrome trim. You would then have a great set.

One thing I have learnt over the past few years, is to take advantage of these opportunities when they present themselves, with these machines at 35yrs plus, who know if or when another will come along.

I remember years ago seeing 70's hoover automatics being discarded, thinking oh it's a bit tatty I'll find a better one, and never have. This was long before meeting the AW family and I can tell you everyone we've met has said, I thought I was the only one, If you knew what I'd let go or didn't collect etc, so I'm really only say, don't wait for perfection over missing out all together.

hoover

Hi I will buy it. I do always try my best to get the nicest ones possible but it doesnt bother me at all if its tatty so I definitely won't disregard it :)

Hoovers

I've just picked this dryer up. This is pre Electron range I think, from the Matchbox line and if I'm right it's dated to December 1972. Dryer works perfectly, little rattle from the door release slidey thing but other than that it's grand!

Yeah thats right, listed for parts. It works fine, under the poor cosmetics! It has a little rattle as stated above, and I think that might be why they said it was ''noisy'', but hey it's grand!

Hi Luke.

Welcome to the group. I see James posted a link to my old thread, detailing all Hoover machines from the Keymatic to electron - just goes to show how many models of Electron, Hoover produced.
Have to say that my favourites are the 2nd generation models, with the square buttons - the A32XX machines.

I have both the round door core range models A3252 and A3254, the former in fine fettle ...

Nice machines for certain and be sure to post some pictures of your A3190 when you get it. A lovely machine.

Cheers
Paul

electron

Hi Paul, don't worry there I will take pictures and try to video it too, the camera on my tablet is rubbish so they might not be the best quality but I will try and get something else to take them on...

a3190

Can anyone give me the dimensions of the a3190? I asked the seller to get the dimensions for me about two weeks ago and they still haven't got them...

a3190

Anyone know the dimensions of the a3190?
Its taking forever for the seller to do anything so I'm hoping to speed it up a bit...

Hoover Automatic 93 (keymatic?)

Hi there,

after looking on the internet about a vintage washing machine, I found your forum.
I just registred, because I guess it is probably the one that is most interested into this. I hope I am not bothering.
I found a old washing machine (at my wife´s grandmother place); as you can see from the picture, it says Hoover Automatic 93.
Firstly, a couple of important facts to point out:
1) the washing machine is in Athens, Greece
2) I don´t know at all, if it´s working (for sure it wasn´t in use in the last 20 years)
2b) i don´t know if there are the keys anywhere

I am not a collector of vintage appliances, but I thought someone of you might be interested into it.
thank you for your time.

Greetings from Greece,

Luca
