Hoover experts / Iron question

Hoover iron model 4460:
Do you know the year made approx?
Is it a Knapp-Monarch?

Bought at estate sale $2.00 (unused in box) Works well. Butterscotch color. Stainless soleplate glides like buttah.

Sorry, my Hoover parts and service manual only has the parts list for the above, nothing else.

Hoover iron model 4460

I have a model #4110. I know mine was produced between 1954 - 1956. I would have to guess that yours would be around 1957 - 1958?? As to who the manufacturer was.... I think it was Dormeyer. I have a similiar 1954 Dormeyer iron and it looks identical to the Hoover. From what I know of Dormeyer, it was producing various appliances to different companies thru the mid-1960s. Dormeyer went out of business in 1967.
