Found yet another Hoover floor polisher in the recycable rubbish tonight. Only took it for the brushes and adaptor clasps, but noticed this model says "Made In USA" and feels quite substantial. Problem is the bastards cut the cord (in two places mind), so cannot test the unit to see if it still works. How hard is it to attach a new power cord? Easy as opening up the plate and dealing with a few screws? Could alwasy take the unit to our local vacuum repair store for them to tackle this project.

I would reckon one could fairly easily Mickey Mouse a
testing cord. How much of the original cord is still
connected? Perhaps just hastily attach a plug to the chop
nearest the machine. What is the color scheme of the Hoover,
may I ask? Is it a double duty shampoo-polisher? I ask because a while back I scored a lovely two-tone blue model
5460; alas minus the brushes!

Dashed the machine into the rubbish bin for recycle trash pick up this morning. Really have no room for any thing at the moment, esp something which will require work and perhaps costly work at that. Kept the brushes, felt pads, and adaptors as mentioned before. Machine probably did work as see so many thrown away that do, can't imagine why, unless someone does their entire house in wall to wall carpeting.
