Hoover Keymatic further tinkerings

Since the mini meet at my house earlier this month I've been spurred on to do more with the Hoover keymatic

We got the pump working when the boys were up but we noticed fill valves jammed open and hoses split to fill flume and pressure vessels.

So a trip to halfords and some new rubber purchased I started to investigate

Well I got as far as dismantling the full solenoid valves to see if they could be fixed. But as far as I can see they look absolutely fine ! The cold fill now shuts off water bar a slight dribble , but the hot one although restricting some water flow still lets water at a rate through

I think I'll replace with more modern ones as replacements no longer available.

I've not got on to the pressure vessel pipes yet !!

Anyway thought you'd like to he kept up to speed

Another step forward

Richard, those brass valves look as solid as the rest of the machine, such a shame we can't get spare washers.
