Hi, I have recently acquired a Hoover Logic Dryer D6416 that I would like to make use of. Upon stripping it down for a deep clean and on removing the drum I have found that one of the spiral elements has failed. The usual online spare parts sites list this part as discontinued, but I have found this part http://www.tdspares.co.uk/product/h...l-pair-3022-d6040-d6042-d6008-d6214-7410-7414 which looks to be the same even though they don't list my particular model number. Though perhaps the earlier models may of had a lower rating, mine is 2300w. Would this be an acceptable alliterative or does anyone know where I can obtain the correct model specific one? Failing that I have found a company that makes spiral heater elements, so If I sent them the good one as a pattern piece I'm sure they could make me some, at a price of course. Any help will be much appreciated, Serial number is D641680700526. Regards Sam.

You should be ok with those coils, I cannot categorically say they are the exact ones, Hoover used the same parts for years on there early models.
If anything earlier models might have had even higher rated ones
The old logic dryers are good machines you should get some good use out of it
