Saw this for sale at a local thrift store. I had no idea that Hoover made refrigerators. I love how the top can also be a counter, and love the way the interior looked. No price was listed and there was a long line at the check out so I didn't get a chance to ask if it worked and the price. May go back tomorrow and see if it is still there.

Hi Jeannine. That's an uncommon model for sure.  A few months back, a gentleman posted a very similar model on the Facebook vintage fridge group. He had a somewhat unrealistic price expectation; and got offended when people suggested he research what similar size and age units are going for.

I just looked again and couldn't find it so it may have been deleted.

I wonder if this is the same unit and the guy gave up and donated it LOL!

That fridge was very common here

in fact it was the only kind we had here for a long time, There are some still going but after the 70's nearly everyone shifted to a fridge freezer that used the same footprint but double the height still very popular in smaller kitchens.

Imported Mini Refrigerator

Very cute and if one wanted to start collecting older refs this would be a place to start as the they do not take up too much room.

Unfortunately they are not very well made [ lots of plastic parts inside that are often broken and or missing ] they also use a lot of power for there size because the walls are so thin, and they are all about the same in design specs so there are few interesting features.

But all in all having one around is kind of fun as they usually work and don't need a big restoration, just buy ones that are in great condition and work and are complete as you will not likely find any parts for them.
