Did the Logic/Ecologic family thread ever get written up? Their history is pretty confusing, what with every different fascia colour getting its own model number! Then there's the different spin speeds, 1200, 1250, 1300...
Its a Hoover D6526 Autosense Dryer, the budget dryer from the 'Logic' range, with that particular one being from around 1989 as it has the updated name font on the fascia.
Hope that helps
What a very nice timeline and some interesting infos about Hoover machines.
About the Topline in reply #87, it's not made by Brandt but by Thomson, that's the same industry group but totally different construction.
Brandt machines have on door (usually with glass) and a rectangular seal while Thomson are two doors.
I Also like the A1004 in reply #34, I remember seeing a similar model with orange circled knobs called A3239 / De Luxe 128 sold in France and Belgium, I miss that machine.
Series Five, Episode One of 'Sorry!' (with Ronnie Corbett as Timothy Lumsden), apparently features this machine. About 5 minutes into the episode.
The machine seems to be identical to the pics in Reply #106, above.
In previous episodes, there was a Hotpoint toploader usually with 'Drive' or 'Bold' powder sitting on it - although Mrs Lumsden complained about having to do washing in a "1958 Goblin" towards the end of series four.
